Period of testimony
The Church Age

Revelation 12:6   And the woman fled into the wilderness, where she hath a place prepared of God, that they should feed her there a thousand two hundred and threescore days.

Revelation 12:14   And to the woman were given two wings of a great eagle, that she might fly into the wilderness, into her place, where she is nourished for a time, and times, and half a time, from the face of the serpent.

Revelation chapter 12 goes into detail of how the Church Age came into being. The woman at first represents God's Kingdom as the nation of Israel or the Temple Age which gives birth to Jesus Christ as His physical form. The woman then begins to represent God's Kingdom as the Church Age as seen that Jesus rises to Heaven and after. Revelation chapter 12 describes twice how the woman is nourished in the wilderness for a period of time representing the number 3 1/2.

The first time declares, "a thousand two hundred and threescore days". This equals exactly 3 1/2 years according to the Hebrew Calendar of 30 days per month = 1260 days.

The second time declares, "a time, and times, and half a time". This equals a non descriptive period of time equalling 3 1/2... "a time" represents a single period of time + "and times" represents two periods of time + "and half a time" represents a half of a period of time = 3 1/2 periods of time.

The 2300 Days

Daniel 7:25  And he shall speak great words against the most High, and shall wear out the saints of the most High, and think to change times and laws: and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and the dividing of time.

Daniel 12:6-7   And one said to the man clothed in linen, which was upon the waters of the river, How long shall it be to the end of these wonders?  And I heard the man clothed in linen, which was upon the waters of the river, when he held up his right hand and his left hand unto heaven, and sware by him that liveth for ever that it shall be for a time, times, and an half; and when he shall have accomplished to scatter the power of the holy people, all these things shall be finished.

Revelation 11:2  But the court which is without the temple leave out, and measure it not; for it is given unto the Gentiles: and the holy city shall they tread under foot forty and two months.

Revelation 13:5   And there was given unto him a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies; and power was given unto him to continue forty and two months.

The first 2 of the four examples above mirror the example to the left. But the last two both declare "forty and two months". This period of time is also representative of 3 1/2... forty two months = 3 1/2 years.

The 6100 Days

Revelation 11:3   And I will give power unto my two witnesses, and they shall prophesy a thousand two hundred and threescore days, clothed in sackcloth.

This is the second time we see, "a thousand two hundred and threescore days" representing the period of time of 3 1/2. Both times are periods of testimony. 1260 days = 3 1/2 years.

Waiting within the Ark

Revelation 11:9   And they of the people and kindreds and tongues and nations shall see their dead bodies three days and an half, and shall not suffer their dead bodies to be put in graves.

Revelation 11:11   And after three days and an half the Spirit of life from God entered into them, and they stood upon their feet; and great fear fell upon them which saw them.

Here we see the only time God uses the representation of, "three days and an half" to show a period of time. I believe there is a good reason. All three great tribulations were represented with the number 84. Jacob's - 84 months / Judah's - 840 months / Church's - 8400 days. As we count the total number of hours within 3 1/2 days we find that there are 84 hours.

This matches perfectly with our current situation. We are currently waiting safely within the Ark as the rest of the world is experiencing the second great tribulation period of no salvation within this Final Great Tribulation. This second great tribulation period after Judgment Day has no mercy of forgiveness for salvation.

* Please see the "2 great tribulation" study *

So we can now understand why the representation of "three days and an half" is only used for this final ending time period. 3 1/2 days = 84 hours.
The #84 represents tribulation.

+ The Feast of Tabernacles within Heaven

The 1,335 days spoken of in Daniel are an actual number of days from the time Jesus began His 3 1/2 years of preaching until the Feast of Pentecost when the Church Age began. These 1,335 days consisted of God's 5-part salvation plan + the Feast of Pentecost. Each part involved the numbers 3 or 3 1/2 and the number 37 at the end. Jesus' 5-part salvation plan + the Feast is identical to our End Times 5-part salvation plan + Feast of Tabernacles in Heaven (1,335 symbolic days).
